we previously owned two canons and were set on getting a third but the $125 sale price was too low to pass up. it has a lot of options that aren't terribly hard to find in the camera's OS once you get used to it. the pics are great looking, it doesn't weigh much, and the battery life is good. we bought a red one (only color in stock) and almost a year later none of the red has rubbed off. pretty well made little camera!

My first Nikon camera and I absolutely love it! It is well worth the investment for those priceless photos. I have had it for several months now and am highly impressed with the quality of the pictures and ease of use. I received excellent feedback when I sent my first set of pictures via email such as what kind of camera do I have and highly impressed with the beauty of the pictures. I took photographs of new plants and every detail was caputred of its unique beauty as if the viewers were seeing it person. I'm still learning more features about this camera and the more I learn the higher my impression. I highly recommend this camera.

I bought this camera from Best Buys and I got it on sale for 129.99 it was a really great buy I really like the camera it takes very nice pics this in my first Nikon and I think it is a really nice camera and it was really nice for the price. It dose all that I expected and much more I use it for my work and I needed a camera that takes nice pics and can have the date and time both stamped on the pic And this dose it all.and it very compact to carry in your pocket.

Es sumamente eficiente para su tamaño, no le pide nada a una cámara profesional fotográfica el zoom funciona mejor que muchas otras cámaras del mercado ( la he comparado con 5 de tras marcas) y respecto su vídeo en HD; es de excelente calidad, excede la expectativas sobre cualquier cámara comercial.
It is most efficient for its size, does not ask anything to a professional photo camera zoom works better than many other cameras on the market (I compared with 5 of following brands) and for its HD video, is of excellent quality, exceeds the expectations for any commercial camera.

After my first Nikon I upgraded to a Samsung, I was tottally disappointed then saw his one
Really happy with it, simple to use, nice weight to it, excellent value Qiu 10x zoom

I thoroughly researched all of the information on this camera. I was skeptical at first. I got my camera for Christmas and I absolutely love it. I love everything about it. I do not have clarity issues and I dont have any problems with the auto focus. The color selector is the most awesome extra to have. I am able to upload pictures easily. In no way have I experienced anything negative about my new Nikon S6200 Coolpix. I totally love it!!!!!!!!!!

I got this camera from my kids for Christmas. Though I've only had it one day, it's amazingly simple to use and easy to explore and try the various options. Love that it has color select. Wonderful upgrade from my Canon Powershot (3.2 mp) that I've had for almost 8 years - it had a great run, still takes nice pics but when my daughter got a Nikon Coolpix as a baby-shower present, I was amazed at the huge difference in color and clarity, so I added "new camera" to my wish list. I'm so happy to have gotten this for Christmas - just in time too, since we're going to DisneyWorld in a week - I'll really be able to test it out there.

I got this on Christmas day, having asked for it 2 weeks before. The autofocus is very effective and the image quality is nice. The zoom is ACTUALLY usefull when taking pictures, and the screen is of a high enough quality that you can tell whether you got a clear picture or not. The navigation is intuitive, and the feel is very nice. Great camera for all uses. Best images taken in natural light without the flash on. DEFINITELY would reccomend this camera to anybody.

I lost my S220 at the zoo and replaced it with the S6000, which personally, I didn't feel was a good fit for what I wanted.
Then I saw the S6200 and it was love at first sight...for me. It takes great pictures with fantastic clarity.
Being a casual photographer Nikon's point and shoot series has, more often than not, helped provide me with not only a wide selection of choices to compare with but also a great price for the quality camera I need.

I wish you could get a printed copy of the owner's maual. It is a real pain having to run to your computer, load the CD, try to find the info you need and then go back and take the picture.
If you print the manual out you have 8 X 11 sheets of paper, where do you store them: not to mention the expense of paper and ink. Not smart Nikon. Camera is not as user friendly as I had hoped.

The Nikon Coolpix S6200 camera is fairly good, however the focus ability is below average, especially for macro or anything closer

I installed the ViewNX 2 however I wasn't able to import (upload# any of my photos or videos as the entire window was grey and the
start transfer button didn't work either. When I uninstalled it to fix this, a message came up saying that it couldn't find the server.

I bought this camera to replace a dead Kodak pocket model that I used to carry with me at all times. The price was good, it was on sale, and I ilked the 16.2 MP. Under the right circumstances it does perform well, unfortunately the pictures are inconsistent with most of them leaning towards the bad.

If I had know that how difficult it was to get my computer to read the camera I would have bought something else.

I have had this camera for less than a year and now it wont even turn on. I had the battery tested and they confirmed the battery was fine, its the camera. I kept this camera in a case, it was never dropped and never got wet. I have no idea why it wont rurn on anymore. Not happy!!

I purchased my s6200 in May of 2012.I used it until October. I did not get many good pictures.Most were blured and unuseable.I even used a tripod and timer for self portrat so I would not be touching the camera when the picture was being taken. In Oct. the LCD screen stopped showing 1/2 of the image.I shipped the camera back to Nikon for repairs,but they would not honor the warranty and wanted over 100 .00 for repairs.I refused the repairs and told them to send it back to me.It is now Janurary of 2013 and I still donot have my camera and Nikon does not know where it is.
