Recientemente acabo de llevar dicha cámara a la ciudad de Panamá e hice unas tomas increíbles que honestamente jamás las había hecho con ninguna otra y eso que apenas la estoy aprendiendo a usar, creo que es muy necesario leer muy a fondo el manual del usuario y quizás tomar algún curso extra de fotografía digital para sacarle el máximo provecho a la misma. En mi opinión es una excelente cámara creo que los recuerdos de la vida deben perdurar para siempre y bueno con la Nikon Coolpix P510 ustedes obtendrán dichos recuerdos, como en realidad quisieran tenerlos. Por lo tanto, recomiendo dicha cámara para que la puedan obtener y así de esta forma tomen las mejores fotos de su vida y queden totalmente satisfechos con la misma. Sinceramente, vale la pena la inversión. Tendrán cámara para ratos.

I was and am glad that I purchased this camera. The zoom is great for both landscape and wildlife photography. I am an avid photographer and have been pleased with this camera. It is my first Nikon camera. I previously had Kodak,Yashica, Panasonic, and Olympus cameras.

A P510 é minha primeira máquina com ajustes manuais. É excelente para amadores que querem aprender sobre o mundo da fotografia digital. O zoom é maravilhoso e a qualidade das imagens também... As várias combinações pré-formatadas auxiliam na atuação quando não se tem muita experiência.

The P510 is the perfect camera for me in every way. If I was a professional photographer, I would definitely go for one of the DSLR's, but I find that I don't need to go that route. I can do everything I want to do with this camera including some serious high quality shooting without lugging around a heavy bag of accessories and lenses. The picture quality is just off-the-charts good and includes the ability to work with raw files. With an equivalent of 24mm to 1000mm zoom, I'm ecstatically happy with what this camera can do. I find that shooting with the extreme telephoto, a sturdy tripod is definitely necessary, but I expected that to be the case. The adjustable angle viewing screen is a huge plus with close-up work.
Most of the point-and-shoot type cameras just didn't have enough quality and features, but this camera solves that problem for me at a great price point.

La Nikon Coolpix P510 no te va a defraudar en los buenos momentos que desees capturar, tiene infinidades de modos para ajustar de acuerdo a la escena, yo personalmente me gusta el modo manual, ya que puedo hacer el ajuste de diafragma y la velocidad de obturación y así tener fotos mas profesionales, me encanto la idea de del disparador que puedes presionar hasta el medio para enfocar y apretar mas cuando ya esta enfocado para capturar, a demás de eso el menú es muy sencillo de usar, y si se te olvida algo das un clic a la dirección derecha y te da información, aparte de esto posee correcciones para las fotos que tomas, las fotos panorámicas asistidas son perfectas, la cámara hace todo el trabajo, el zoom es impresionante, y la definicion que esta tiene hasta el maximo zoom. tiene lo bueno de una reflex en un modelo compacto

Iniciante no mundo da fotografia, assim como eu? A P510 é o que há!!! Estou fazendo cursos básicos com ela, pois é uma compacta com muitos recursos manuais!!! O modo manual dela permite fotos incríveis, como Lightpainting (desenhos de luz), Panning (movimento congelado, fundo borrado), etc. Me sentia insegura para trocar lentes, o que a P510 dispensa. E se você realmente gosta de zoom - com qualidade - ela surpreende!!!

Only had it for 2 months and really haven't had time to learn much beyond point and shoot. Sunday night it refused to charge either from the wall outlet or the computer so I brought it back to SAM's Club where I bought it for about $370. They exchanged it for a new one w/o a problem and even gave me a refund of $70 as they are now selling it for $300. I could not be happier. Now to get back to learning.

I enjoy this camera and am glad I purchased this and not a larger DSLR. My past cameras include an older digital Olympus full function point and shoot with RAW capability (about $600 prior to the DSLR days), some D-point and shoots, Nikon 35mm 8008s SLR w/data back , and manual 35mm's with fixed lenses. This camera offers a great zoom range, beginning with the 24mm wide angle, without switching lenses, decent macro, and the camera can be switched to fully manual operation with manual focus. That's pretty pretty good for a point and shoot camera. Great photos and the video function is also good; but for HD1080 I had to upgrade to a Class 10 card to eliminate slight pause affects of the slower class 6 card. The auto focus could be a bit better in video mode. Good camera if you want the HD video basics, easy point and shoot option, and some options to overide the auto mode. This camera has the GPS function, but I haven't used it yet. Also offers the option of using Eye-Fi card and 3-D shooting in photo, and have not tried either of those either. Ask yourself if you will use all the higher functions the DSLR's offer, or if you prefer a smaller, lighter, and cheaper camera. Another plus: I won't feel so bad if I damage the camera, or it is stolen as I can buy several of these for the price of a DSLR. Keep in mind that this camera, and all D-cameras, will be obsolete in a few years. Don't spend to much $$$ on technology unless you have to.

I love this camera although i havent took pictures outside other that at the concert my babies and myself! All the pictures came out great! The zoom OMG i love it. I can zoom a block from my house and the picture still comes out perfect! Gotta love that! And the tiltable screen comes in handy when ur at the concert! Love it!!!

I like the smaller cameras, but my husband and I purchased this one for the 42 zoom. Just bought the camera yesterday. Have not been able to get the gps to work, but have not been outdoors. the pictures are very impressive over my 3 year old camera with 10 zoom. It looks like they now have a new bag with strap, but it obviously still was not designed for this camera. There is a velcro attached separator and it has to be completely removed to put the camera inside. It barely fits no matter how it is put in.
I recommend the camera. no to the bag.

This is the best camera that i have ever used! The zoom is awesome, and so is the quality of the pictures. And if you like this camera, there is a new one out, the Coolpix P520. It may cost more, but now there is even more megapixels! This camera looks the same, and has the same zoom. I still would recommend the P510.

I wanted camera that had an awesome Zoom lens built in so that I wouldn't have to switch lenses depending on the shot. This camera has a phenomenal zoom. The only thing is is a tiny drawback is not a great closeup shot camera. I wouldn't trade this camera for anything. I love it and am so thrilled that I have this camera. GO BUY it NOW you will be very happy you did.

I had the P500 for almost a year when the P510 came out and upon reading the specifications I have to buy it online..ITS MORE FAR BETTER THAN MY P500...altho no more stills during video which I liked in the P500, it has faster focus, more zoom reach, better photo effects, better and faster controls, cheaper than other zooms, and over-all very handy multi-purpose camera..indeed a very good camera to practice with and to have before buying your first DSLR or a mirrorless camera..I highly recommend it to first time buyers of cameras rather than the other point-and-shoot ones...

I love this camera. I am a Nikon fan and own another Nikon. I was looking for something that could take wide angle or zoom in when I needed it without changing the lens for my vacation. We were backpacking so I needed something light, but I still wanted great quality. Wow, this camera did the trick. Just wish they had a plastic cover accessory for the monitor.
