Antes de comprar mi Nikon L820, estuve evaluando otras cámaras de marcas diferentes y al final lo que me convenció para comprar mi Nikon fue su gran calidad de imagen, el video en HD 1080 , el zoom 30x y por su puesto la larga y exitosa trayectoria de la marca. La verdad no me arrepiento de mi elección porque creo que fue la mejor. Me siento muy satisfecho con los resultados ya que para la categoría de cámara que es, ha superado mis expectativas y necesidades con la toma de fotografías panorámicas, el 3D y la gran calidad y nitidez para retratar la luna. Lo que más me gusta de mi nikon, además de lo ya mencionado, es el material del que esta hecha y el color rojo que refleja mi estilo y mi personalidad.

My husband is a serious photographer, I never was, so I always had a simple point and shoot digital. This camera is great and does everything I want it to do! The clarity of the pictures is wonderful, beyond what I was even hoping for. The 30X zoom is great for the distance shots. My old camera was pretty much useless. The close up shots--WOW!!
I know people are going to say this is still a "point and shoot" camera, which it is. But it is offers a fantastic value for those photographers like me who want to move from viritually knowing nothing when it comes to photographing but just aren't ready yet to jump up to the more expensive cameras. This L820 is one of the best leisure time purchases I have ever made. Would highly recommend getting it. Get value for the money. I love mine. Only regret, I saw it in blue on the internet. I would have loved to get it in blue. But, I am very pleased with my camera in red. Hope if you purchase it, you enjoy it as much as I do mine.

This was a birthday gift from my wife, and she let me pick out the camera. After looking at both point and shoot and DSLR. I wanted a camera that will expand my photos but not break the bank. I became very confused by the DSLR terms and with a little research I found out that if i went with a DSLR camera i would need at least 3 lenses to give the same range of photos that this camera offers. so enough about the pre buying time. The camera was the red Coolpix L820. right out of the box I i was impressed by taking a Photo at 65 MPH down the road and the picture was Crystal clear. I have now taken over 500 pictures and maybe about 10% i have had to delete because of being blurry. I have taken pictures of my daughter who is now 6 months old and as you can imagine she can move fast and cause the pictures to be blurry but after playing around i have learned how the camera and my daughter acts so the number of blurry pictures have decreased. I have also taken pictures of both plants and wild life with great results. I would really recommend this camera to anyone interested in upper level camera at a decent price.

I went to the store intending to buy a DSLR, I bought this camera instead. Don't getr me wrong, I don't think the picture quality is the same or better bit for my skill level and what I intend to do this is perfect. When researching, I realized that I was probably not going to buy a bunch of lenses and I didn't want to spend $600 on a camera that I use for the 3-4 trips I take each year. The L820 has a fantastic zoom, more megapixels than you need, is very easy to use and uses AA batteries which I prefer(one less charger).
If you are looking for an all-purpose camera that will do what you need without muss or fuss this camera is for you. It takes great low-light photos and HD video. All in a nice-looking functional and reasonably priced package. The only thing missing for me is Wi-Fi. It seems to be able to use the Eye-Fi card but I haven't tested it. I'm hoping the WU-1a is compatible.

I bought this coolpix today and I really satisfied with the pics it took and the video is awesome. I can able to take slow motion movie with this cam and it's great.

I was shopping price when i happened upon it's predecessor the L810, when i was done comparing the 2 i realized i had a winner, for the price you get a terrific 30X optical zoom and you can later examine that picture at 10x digital zoom which gives you an awesomely detailed perspective on a far away scene, the battery life seems good so far, and the features are very easy to use including the 1080p stereo video capture, although i would recommend a 64gb sd card as my 16gb only enables 30min of film capture at best resolution. The picture stabilization is quite good, and for an beginner like myself the full auto helps make the picture well picture perfect every time, i am of course gradually learning to take advantage of the ample options available on this cam, i've gotten the racy red one and lots of compliments on it. my only complaint is that there was no case with the camera or sd to begin with otherwise this would have been 5 stars
