I had read reviews on this case and had decided not to get it but when it came bundled with the camera I gave it a try. I like it. I like that the camera strap is used for carrying while in the case. It provides just enough protection from bumps while in crowds.
The only parts I don't like are lack of protection from the weather and you have to find a place to put it when it's not on the camera or on a belt since there is no strap directly on the case. It is called a case and not a bag.
I can see using this case for dressier occasions and maybe a very small backpack type for everyday use.
Review 3 for COOLPIX P7000 Horizontal Black Leather Case
Too tight, poorly designed

This Nikon leather case came bundled with my P7000, along with a Nikon extended warranty for the camera. Unlike the excellent Nikon leather case for my P5000 (also for the P6000), my sample of this new one is much too tight for the P7000. I've decided not to use it because the amount of force required to squeeze the camera in and to take it out may eventually cause some damage to my P7000. Moreover, the memory-card pocket inside the case is practically certain to scratch the P7000's beautiful but vulnerable LCD screen. I cannot understand how Nikon could come up with a case that is so unfriendly to the Nikon camera for which it is intended. Double thumbs down!
