The quality of the optics and the edge to edge clarity make the Monarch 8X42 a great pair of binoculars for general use. For travel and birding it is a magnificent accessory and a great value. It is always on our packing list and receives a lot of use.

I love my 8x42 Monarch ATB III with dielectric coatings. Wow these are great. I had an 8x40 ATB and this was super but the new technology just blows the old one out of the water.

These are wonderful. Use them for bird-watching and general use. Monarch is a great binocular.
Once I drove down the freeway and they fell off the roof of my car, they were wrecked. Nikon still stood behind them & fixed them for $20.00 and it was purely my fault.
Great product from a great company.
I have bought another set of Nikon's for our second home at the beach!

I purchased the Nikon Monarch ATB 8x42. They work great in dark timber. Issues I had was that one of the covers to the lenses fell off about one hour into the hunt...so I removed the other. Claim they are fogproof, but I had fogged up mine somehow. Not bad for the money.
