Frustrations and regrets

This camera has been a source of frustration since purchased. It will not resgister on my computer and once inserted into the usb port seems to have affected the working of the port. All other soft ware has down loaded except the ability to read the camera. The port I had used to attach camera now will not read my thumb drives. I am frustrated and have not yet resolved the issue through Nikon service. The camera itself appears to have many features and works well but the frustration of the noted issue has left me discouraged. This has been to date a waste of the camera cost and now I need to explore the computer issue of the usb port resulting from attaching the camera. At this point I may return the camera and purchase an updated version of my old digital compact, I am glad I did not purchase the more expensive model as intended.
