My D2x is my all around camera and it gives my magnificent sharp detail, vibrant colors, and the right exposure. The experience using this camera is the best thing I can say in owning a D2x, the way the buttons and levers are placed, the great grip which is love the most, and also the power house design gives a great pride using it until today. I also own a D300s however my D2x will be here to stay as my main camera.

I have had 2 D2X cameras since they were introduced. Both cameras have worked flawlessly.

i own two D2x bodies and combined with a range of Nikon AF-D and AF-S lend there's nothing other than a D3 to drag me away.
Resoltion is superb, performance from the tough body with weathersealing is awesome (I'm shooting outdoors 24/7 for angling publications) , and the control and menu system I simple and based around common sense rather than fancy gizmos.
High ISO use I good up to 800 and the HI settings have their use, although compared against more modern bodies they aren't t that relevant.
AF is fast and precise thanks to 11 AF points. Exposure system I reliable, especially with an SB800 attached.
I bought mine used for £650 each and o have to say they're them most user-friendly cameras I've owned in the digital age - before I had the excellent D200 ANC before that, the appaling Canon 10D and the much improved 30D.
